The selection criteria have guided this process since the very first cohort in 1902. Rhodes Scholars are not simply the highest-scoring students in a room. Applications opened on 1 June 2026 for most constituencies around the world, with the US window opening on 1 July. The process is structured around Rhodes Constituencies – geographical territories that each run their own selection process.
